     "Range Quantization and Isosurface Statistics"


zum Inhalt:

We have previously shown that histograms and other
discrete statistics for continuous phenomena are related
to geometric properties of isosurfaces.  We now consider
the effects of quantization in the range due to machine
representation, and demonstrate a formal proof of convergence
based on Riemann integration.
