I looked a little bit closer into the problem. <br>
While there can be a generic GATE mapping to NIF, the mapping of NIF
to Gate XML is not straightforward, but requires knowledge about the
exact String expected by the GATE component.<br>

It will probably need some time to get the back-conversion to Gate
correctly. <br>
