<div dir="ltr"><div>Dear all,</div><div><br></div><div>TLDR: No action needed if your applications use the official Purl URIs (e.g., <a href="http://purl.org/olia/olia.owl#">http://purl.org/olia/olia.owl#</a>)<br></div><div><br></div><div>In a number of data sets and
applications in the LLOD community, the Ontologies of Linguistic
Annotation (OLiA) are being used to provide stable identifiers for
various kinds of annotation.</div><div><br></div><div>In particular, they provide<br></div><div>(a)
an ontology of terminology relevant for the annotation of morphosyntax,
syntax, morphology, information structure, co-reference and discourse
(OLiA Reference Model), and <br></div><div>(b) a large number of annotation schemes and tagsets as machine-readable Annotation Models, linked with the reference model.</div><div><br></div><div>This
is to notify contributors to and users of OLiA that we are currently in
migration from servers of GU Frankfurt to publication via GitHub.</div><div><br></div><div>This means:</div><div>- The official Purl URL (e.g., <a href="http://purl.org/olia/olia.owl">http://purl.org/olia/olia.owl</a>) will continue to work, no action needed.<br></div><div>- These links now point to GitHub instead of servers at GU Frankfurt.<br></div><div>- Inofficial direct links to <a href="http://acoli.cs.uni-frankfurt.de/.">http://acoli.cs.uni-frankfurt.de/.</a>.. should be replaced by Purl links</div><div>- Some applications still use links to <span><span><a href="http://nachhalt.sfb632.uni-potsdam.de/owl/olia.owl#">http://nachhalt.sfb632.uni-potsdam.de/owl/olia.owl#</a>.
These may continue to operate for the foreseeable future, but note that
these have not been updated since 2012 and should be immediately
replaced by Purl links.<br></span></span></div><div>-
The former documentation of OLiA and the OLiA discourse extensions
hosted by <a href="http://acoli.cs.uni-frankfurt.de/">http://acoli.cs.uni-frankfurt.de/</a> are being replaced with new
documentation published via <a href="https://acoli-repo.github.io/olia/">https://acoli-repo.github.io/olia/</a></div><div>-
The HTML editions of OLiA Annotation Models and the OLiA Reference
Model formerly hosted under <a href="http://acoli.cs.uni-frankfurt.de/.">http://acoli.cs.uni-frankfurt.de/.</a>.. can now
be found in the GitHub pages: <a href="https://acoli-repo.github.io/olia/html/">https://acoli-repo.github.io/olia/html/</a></div><div>-
The official publication channel for OLiA is and continues to be the
GitHub repository under <a href="https://github.com/acoli-repo/olia">https://github.com/acoli-repo/olia</a>.</div><div>- All our data is open source. Feel free to fork or contribute ;)<br></div><div><br></div><div>Note
that the documentation is still in a refit process, but things are
continuously improving. If you encounter any anomalies or have any
requests, please create a GitHub issue for that
(<a href="https://github.com/acoli-repo/olia/issues">https://github.com/acoli-repo/olia/issues</a>), or reach out to me in
person or via the ACoLi Google Group (<a href="https://groups.google.com/g/acoli">https://groups.google.com/g/acoli</a>)
with the subject "OLiA: ...".</div><div><br></div><div>Also note that
the management of Purl redirects is a laborsome and unreliable matter.
In particular, DELETE requests are very often just not processed. We are
monitoring the situation and manually revise where necessary, but it is
possible that some updates of OLiA redirects have not been successfully
deployed yet. If you encounter any of these, please drop us a line.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Thanks a lot, and best regards,</div><div>Christian<br></div></div>
