[OpenWalnut-Dev] Removing ROIs and Modules

Hi,
well, all laptops I'm aware of have a "delete" key, with the
exception of Macs. Macs only have a key "<-" that behaves like PC's
"backspace" normally and like "delete" if "fn" is pressed also.
All programs I'm aware of use the "backspace" action as sort of
"undo the last action" (e.g. remove the character before the cursor,
which is usually the last character typed, some browsers use
"backspace" to go back in history) and use "delete" (Mac: "fn" +
"<-") to remove what the cursor is pointing to (if you use a block
cursor that is, otherwise remove the character after the cursor).
The programs on my Mac are no different. Can you name programs in
which the "<-" key without "fn" removes the next character rather
than the previous by default?
In most text editors when marking a block of text--a selection--it
is removed both on "backspace" and "delete". So I'm voting for both
keys!
But independently of the choice of the keys, the things should also
be deletable via other means such as context menus. The keys should
only be a shortcut. (Menus are so much more self-documenting than
keyboards)
Regards,
Christian
PS.: Sorry for turning a "color-of-the-bike-shed" discussion into an
essay.
