"Deconvolution, projection operators and invariants"


zum Inhalt:

Analysis of blurred images can be done in two ways. One is image 
deconvolution, the other one is direct analysis by means of features 
invariant to blur. The former yields a complete restored image which may 
be time-consuming and useless in many applications. The latter one 
offers an alternative, when certain salient properties of the image are 
extracted and used for recognition without any restoration. Both 
approaches have their pros and cons. In the talk, we will review recent 
development on both fields and demonstrate several practical applications.
