zum Forschungsseminar 'Computergrafik, Bildverarbeitung und
Visualisierung' am Mittwoch, den 10. September 2014, 13:15 Uhr, Raum
P-701 im Paulinum am Augustusplatz.

Wir hören einen Vortrag von:

mit dem Titel

"Coloring dMRI Tensorline Clusters for improved Discriminability and
Comparability"

zum Inhalt:

Tensorlines created from diffusion weighted resonance imaging data are a
measure for brain connectivity andhelp analyzing the functionality of
the human brain. In order to visualize tensorlines in a meaningful way
we need rendering improvements such as coloring algorithms. To create an
image, that allows us to both distinguish tensorline clusters and
compare them across subjects a geometry-based coloring is required. This
thesis presents a new method to calculate the main directionality of a
tensorline cluster and uses this attribute in two different coloring
algorithms. The first approach colors clusters evenly, the second one
preserves information content by allowing cluster-internal color
variation for tensorlines while still delimitingclusters visually using
the Spherical Voronoi Tessellation.

Alle Interessierten sind im Namen von Professor Dr. Scheuermann herzlich
eingeladen.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Patrick Oesterling
